New Jersey Affirmative Action Officers' Council
(NJAAOC)

The New Jersey Affirmative Action Officers’ Council (NJAAOC) is a member-driven organization comprised of equal employment opportunity and affirmative action (EEO/AA), diversity, and human resources professionals.  The NJAAOC was created through the efforts of EEO/AA practitioners in state government and officials from the New Jersey Civil Service Commission, Division of EEO/AA in 1983.

The mission of the NJAAOC is to serve as a principal training and professional development resource for EEO/AA, diversity, and human resources professionals.  The Council also provides feedback and suggestions to governmental authorities on EEO/AA compliance matters specific to the State of New Jersey.  The NJAAOC accomplishes it mission by promoting principles of workforce diversity, respect, and inclusion.  The NJAAOC is dedicated to the advancement of EEO/AA principles while serving the needs of the organization’s diverse members, and stakeholders.
